About
Metro Mom started as a writing exercise, during my early days into single parenthood and adulting. In 2012, it became a weekly column in Edge Davao, a newspaper published and distributed in the Southern Philippines. My page primarily featured stories about motherhood and women in business and arts.
Come marriage, new adventures, two miscarriages and another baby, a rekindled love for journaling led me to this passion project: A blog that features not only those I contribute for print, but also stories about the different facets and wonders of life and modern living, from my own experiences and of the people I meet.
I hope you’ll join me on this ride.
Let’s embrace parenthood one day at a time and strive to be better (not just the best).
Let’s create a better future for our children.
Let’s craft, learn, play, laugh, cook, travel and dance our way through life.
Let’s celebrate each other’s passions and triumphs.
Let’s flourish in the beauty of each other’s work and support community over competition.
Let’s turn all those mess into powerful messages of strength, love and joy, in hopes that, amidst all the uncertainties and changes, we will always see the good in this world.
Xoxo,
Meg
